Greenough Blvd DCR Improvement Project

An announcement from DCR was posted about traffic and safety improvements to the intersection of Greenough Boulevard and Grove Street.

The project will upgrade stop signs to traffic signals to create a safer crossing for pedestrians and cyclists traveling through the intersection which runs alongside the Dr. Paul Dudley White (Charles River) Bike Path.

Post from cyclist Lara: "I took it for the first time recently and it was really bumpy, holey, and cracked which makes it hard on the um, bike seat! Lot of low-hanging tree branches, too. The smoothness of the path really changes when you cross to the Cambridge line or the other side of the river."
