Bus Route 73
Belmont/Watertown
Community Meeting
Dear MBTA Riders and Interested Parties,
The MBTA will be presenting the Key Bus Route Improvement Program, in coordination with the Belmont Street/Trapelo Road Reconstruction Project, at a community meeting, to gather feedback on how to improve Bus Route 73, focusing on Belmont and Watertown.
The Belmont Street/Trapelo Road Reconstruction Project will design and construct the bus stop recommendations that are generated from this meeting. Recommendations for bus stop consolidation and the addition of customer amenities have been developed as part of both projects, in consultation with the MBTA, MassDOT and the Towns of Belmont and Watertown. Bus stops may be relocated and/or eliminated.
Passengers on non-Key Bus Routes will benefit from improvements and be affected by changes made at Key Bus Route stops.
Bus Route 73 operates between Waverley Square and Harvard Station via Trapelo Road, Mt. Auburn Hospital, Cushing Square, Harvard University. It provides connections to the Red Line, Fitchburg Commuter Rail and Bus Routes 1, 66, 68, 69, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 77, 78, 86 and 96.
